Here's a song trying to empathize and see through his eyes... my friend's dad has been battling cancer for over a year. I don't know how he felt but I'm sure he's
had a lot of questions and constantly being stretched and pulled. This is for you brother and all those who might have been that person at the hospital bedside seeing a loved one holding on. Praise God for this brother's dad coming to know Jesus Christ. Whatever happens, there's still that road that needs to be travelled.
Hope this captures it and encourages and inspires that faith we need in something real, something bigger than all of us: Jesus Christ.
Questions...
The rain falls steadily
Like the pulse of my thoughts
Will it ever go away
Will the pain go astray?
Every day I put on a face
Just like everything’s okay.
But deep down within
A search that can’t begin
I see him lying helplessly
His every breath so heavily
His eyes so tired from endless nights
Each step I take with him,
Makes me wonder why.
When you’ll hear his cry.
Will you hear my cry
The visits to his bedside
With prayers that were cried
A simple cup of faith
Is all that soothes his pain
I slowly realize
The questions that once paralyzed
Were answered long ago
By promises of old.
l wait with faith alone
Whatever things may be
Whatever things may come
Just let him rest with ease
Let him sleep with peace
Let him dream again
Let me run with him?.
again ..

Jon's Prose and Poetics
Welcome to my Page of Written Prose and Poetics. A lot of them probably don't rhyme or anything but I just kinda wrote them thinking of a song. Hopefully, these will somehow inspire you to keep hoping, and keep believing. I might add some other stuff not written by myself but perhaps have had great meaning and inspiration to me in times of joy and sorrow. All writings are copyrighted by Jon Ho 2001-2007
