Fly
You thought you could carry the world
And give it the love it deserves
But your heart got too heavy
and made You lie flat on the ground.
Don’t be afraid—of the love
That taught you to hear that colors could sing
There’s no other time/ than here and now
To lift yourself up off the ground
Cuz you’ll fly again
If you will believe that your dreams will come true
Don’t you forget
The journey less traveled will take you from here
‘cause a chance for grace/is waiting for you
When you reach out to find yourself here – again.
I find myself taking your hand
And promise you the love you deserve
But now we’re on the edge
Of something I’ve never seen before.
I can’t be afraid/of the love
That taught me to hear that colors could sing
Cuz this is the time/ the here and now
To lift myself up off the ground.
Jon's Prose and Poetics
Welcome to my Page of Written Prose and Poetics. A lot of them probably don't rhyme or anything but I just kinda wrote them thinking of a song. Hopefully, these will somehow inspire you to keep hoping, and keep believing. I might add some other stuff not written by myself but perhaps have had great meaning and inspiration to me in times of joy and sorrow. All writings are copyrighted by Jon Ho 2001-2007
